Shiny..

I'm on time this time! Okay, so. You probably notice the shiny new icons. That was Savaril. Give him high fives and such. There is also a a new banner for Cow RP on the BYOND page. That was MLN. He deserves praise as well. I'm going to change the Job/Kingdom/Subclass selection screen here pretty soon as well. A lot of graphical updates as of recently. Which is a good thing. ALSO. I really intend to add hair. I think I'm going to draw it myself. The whole name system I've babbled about needs to ahve some things worked out still. It's been compared to the system of "Mitadake High" and "FFO" I believe. I think that's all I have for now.

Bah

Whoops. Sunday. Right then. Still need a way to get boats into the water. Boats/Hair/Names

Okay then, so it's Saturday*cough*, time to inform you on what I'm up to. Alright, so I've been tweaking boats a bit, testing them a bit, I'm pretty sure they don't have any remaining bugs. But I still don't know the specifics on how they should be constructed and put into the water. Again, for suggestions, email me (bovine.buddy@gmail.com) or post it on the forums. Moving on. I've been thinking about putting hair/beards into Cow RP for character customization. Not much to say on that though, I'll get back to you on it. Good god. I want a name system. A forced ignorance, almost. Basically, how I want it to work, is that nobody knows anyone's name or anything and they all show up as "Somebody" or something (Not everyone would be "Somebody" though, we'd have forty Somebodys running around and talking and such, and it'd cause a lot of confusion). Then, if they introduce themselves, you can rename them. It would only effect your perspective on them though, it would change from "Somebody says...." (Let's say they said they were John and you named them that) into "John says...." I think it would force a bit of RP, and get rid of a bit of potential rule-breakage/witch accusation. I think that's all I have for now. Bye.

Boats?

Boats! Yeah! Boats! They aren't in yet, but they should be soon. I think I've nearly worked out all the bugs and such, and all that should be left to do is to think of a way that boats should be constructed. I also have functional cannons finished. Dreamworld and other things

Woo! Dreamworld is in! Basically, you go to sleep, or die, and you will be there. I am pretty sure it is functional entirely, but at the moment, it is a little bit plain. Think of things that should be added to it, and suggest them on the forums. Also, I added in a forced equip system, if you have an equip-able item in your inventory, if you click drag it to someone, you can force it onto them. It will not equip over things they are wearing, or remove anything they are wearing. If they are wearing something such as armor, and you try to equip armor on them, it will just be put into their inventory. And there were some miscellaneous bug fixes as well.

Getting there

Alright. You may have heard/seen me babble about the whole Dreamworld implementation and such, and I've nearly got the whole core systemness to it down and finished, and I will probably have it done soon. Eventually. At some point in time.
Also, I should start a system where I update you guys on a regular basis. Details HERE.

Yum.

Alright, I think I am starting to get back into the "swing of things" and feel a bit more motivated to add things to Cow RP. What? You don't believe me? I have proof! I implemented 11 new edible items! They are all functional, with seeds. The Edibles: Eggplant, grapes, cucumber, pumpkin, orange, lemon, lime, grapefruit, banana, cherry, and strawberry. Oh, and things that grow on trees/vines/bushes will grow back later on (if they aren't destroyed that is).

A Step Forward By a Step Back?

Before I explain the somewhat cryptic title, please note that any typos, grammatical errors, etc. are 90% the fault of me not being asleep right now. BUT! Moving on. A lot of whispering/screaming and yelling has been going around, that Cow RP is/isn't 'dead'. The timing on this, seems to be that it happened right about after the "partial update" was put out. If that is so, then theoretically, takign it out should fix the problem, right? Well, I hope so, because I reverted back to an older version before the new building system and whatever else I put in with version 0.70. Hopefully, the player base recovers.

Agh...

Homework beyond reason. Final projects, studying, homework in general...School is almost over and there is some serious work that's being dealt out. Long story short, I may appear to be missing for a while...Simple explanation, I will be. School is over in about 10 days though. I'll add some fancy new content then.

P.S. Whenever I've had time, I've been fixing some bugs here and there, but I'll do some hardcore coding after school is out.

Version 0.70

Okay, version 0.70. It's the latest version in Cow RP so far. It was the one with the whole attempted big update with Peasant mode babble... But anyways. I never really talked about it in depth. The fire system was changed, you click and drag items to use them on the fire. Tree chopping was changed, you click them multiple times with an axe to knock them over, a stump is left behind, you chop up the fallen tree, and collect the wood. A bunch more wooden items have been added, wood doors are made differently. Stone doors (couldn't be made until about 30 seconds ago) are as well. Make some new stone items with the newly added boulders, click and drag stones to the boulder, and a menu will pop up. Make a stone/wood arch, and click drag the door to the arch, and voila, door. Okay! That's about it I think. Click the help button on the HUD in game for some other info I may have left out. School is almost out, leaving me less work to worry about, and more free time. I'll be working on updating Cow RP as much as I can.

Whoops.

Right! So, you may or may not have noticed, but I haven't kept you all updated very well. Well, it's a bit out of hand now, I HAVE been working on the update, it should be done soon, but I still do have school to worry about for another month or so. So, long story short, I won't be updating you all regularly, but the update is getting worked on bunches, and just wait, it will be done soon...Hopefully.

Animals!

Updates! Woooo!
-Added in TRAPS! You can use these to trap animals.
-Animals are now attracted to crops! When they get close enough they WILL eat them. (You should probably fence off your farmland now)
-Animals can be tamed and mounted! Yes, you can ride any animal you own! Use the "mount" verb to get on, and the "dismount" verb to get off!

A bit of change

Nothing much, but I did change some things.
I changed a few icons: water, tilled ground, seeded ground, and ditches....
BERRYeffects are now randomized!! This is IMPORTANT becuase the healer will know what they do but no one else will, so don't run off and say "I KNOW WHAT A BLUE BERRY DOES LOLOLOL" and then eat it and die of poisoning.
...I think that is it... For now at least.

Slow motion


Cow RP's magical wonderful updates may be slowed down a bit. Let me explain why... You may know that I babysit at home. Usually that lasts until pretty late at night and it's very distracting. Also, recently, I changed my Algebra 2 teacher and she gives homework every night, and that takes a bit to do. I take Advanced Placement classes, and both of the teachers think that, since we are in AP, we should have more homework... So I get homework from three different classes almost constantly, and USUALLY I can handle it. But both AP teachers sprung a big huge long paper essay thing on me at the same time. The first one needs to be done pretty soon, and the other (much more work) needs to be done around the end of February. Also at home, my family is getting kind of...edgy so that will be distracting as well. So generally, I have been getting more things going on in my life and it's getting harder and harder to focus on adding things to/admining/playing Cow RP, so less updates will be implemented and I won't be as active as I would like.

Defrostification Operation

Ever notice how the server is up but isn't functional for 18 hours or so at a time every so often? Well, the server hasn't crashed. The server hasn't been shut down... Something is causing the server to freeze in its tracks. I think a cause of the problem may include unsolved bugs that used to never cause a problem. And as an attempt to STOP this freezing, I am eliminating every error, bug, and mistake I can possibly find in Cow RP.
